For those of you who are not car savvy, like me, the above is a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado SS extended cab. Rosa Maria wanted to throw her husband a 40th birthday party and she wanted the theme to be his dream car which he was fortunate to have already owned. Yes, people, there are people amongst us who's dream cars happen not to be lamborghinis and other two seater cars. So this is the cake that we made for Rosa Maria's husband. A rum cake with coconut buttercream in the shape of his truck.
And because the truck was not manly enough, I added the number '40' on the bed and made gumpaste chain links to hold it down. The license plate is blurred because it's his actual plate printed with edible ink so he could eat it if he chose.
